William Kenneth Wilson
January 10, 1956~August 20, 2021
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the death of our beloved brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend, William “Billy” Kenneth Wilson.
Billy was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1956. He passed away at the age of 65
peacefully at his home in Barrie, Ontario.
Billy always felt most fulfilled when adding value to someone else’s life. He was an active member of his community and for many years championed the organizing committee for the annual Barrie Walk for MS. His love of sports and cheering on his favourite teams included the Miami Dolphins, Toronto Maple Leafs, or the Blue Jays. He loved going for dinner at his local watering hole and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Billy wore many different career hats including Chauffeur for Budget Executives, which led him to live in Florida for a bit, Towing, Cable installations, and finally as a courier. In all his many roles, the feedback was always the same. His customers and employers loved his quiet sunny disposition and bright smile. Billy will forever be remembered in our hearts. We miss him dearly and we wish his blessed soul peace and unconditional love.
Billy leaves behind his loving family including his “baby” sister Joannie Halbert (Steve), Godfather and Uncle Bill to Ashlee and Joshua Osborne, sister Kathy Wilson, brothers Mark Briand (Heather), and Shawn Briand, and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Uncle and Aunts. He will reunite with his Mother Audrey (1964), Father Albert (1989) and brother Dale (2012).
Addiction and mental health played a role at times in Billy’s life, however our family believes a life is not to be judged by the final page in their story. He always tried to be best version of himself. We are so very proud of Billy’s strength and know how hard he fought his battle with mental health.
No funeral or flowers by request.
The Scattering Memorial service for Bill will be held at Innisvale Cemetery Scattering Gardens on Friday September 17, 2021 at 10am.
