Obituary

It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to Frederic Lair on January 10th, 2021 at Hospice Simcoe. He left this world peacefully in the arms of his loved ones.

Fred was a wonderful caring husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be greatly missed. The love of his life Sheila, his son Mathieu (Camille) and daughter Alexandra, his father Rémi Lair, his mother Agathe de la Durantaye, his brothers and sisters Daniel, Stéphane (Nadine), Véronique and Catherine (Mathieu), his nieces and nephews, and many family and friends will remember him as an outstanding musician, an unparalleled cyclist and a true gentleman.

A heartfelt thank you to the medical staff of the RVH Oncology Unit, the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, the St. Joseph’s Health Centre and for the exceptional care shown by Dr. Emerson and his many home care nurses from Bayshore over the past two years.

The family is grateful for the care and services provided by Hospice Simcoe and wishes for any memorial donations to be made to them in his name.

As biking conditions are better in warmer weather, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
