Stuart John Atkins passes away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on September 15 at the age of 77.
Stuart was loved by many and will be remembered for his booming laugh and for being the pickiest eater ever.
Stu leaves behind his son Jason and his family Tanya, Ella and Kayla Atkins and Daughter Stacie and her family Morgan, Braydon and Justin Miller. His Sister Pat in England and her children Gary and Sally and ex-wife but, still friend Marie Atkins.
A very casual celebration of life will be held at the Frog and Firkin (upstairs) 4854 Yonge St, North York, ON M2N 5N2,( parking in the back of the building) on October 5th from 1-4pm. Please come dressed causal…. ties will be cut off at the door. Join us for a drink and grilled cheese sandwich to celebrate our Dad. Wear your Blue Jays gear if you wish.
Our family thanks all the Dr’s and nurses at RVH for dads care during his many visits over the years, Dr. Michelle Van Walraven for her compassion and care for dad. To the incredible caring compassionate staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe, there are no words big enough to say thank you for the work you do. To Kelly, Christine and Wendy at Grove Park Day Program, thank you for making Dad feel special, Wednesday was his favourite day of the week.
