James John 'Jim' Burbidge

April 12, 1942 – November 17, 2019

Jim passed peacefully on his own terms at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton, Ontario on November 17, 2019. He was 77. Jim was born in Toronto, Ontario to John and Vera Burbidge (nee Moore), both predeceased. Also predeceased by his partner Linda Naylor. He leaves behind brother William (Lynne) and sister, Susan McClelland (Wayne), daughter, Cindy Janusitis (Chris) and son Jay Burbidge. Grandfather to Daniel, Aaron and Hollee. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Jim was raised in Willowdale, Ontario and worked as a printer for MacLean Hunter from an early age.  Married to Leone 'Lee' Johnston in 1962 (divorced 1993), their daughter Cindy was born 1963.  They moved to Queensville in 1972 where their son Jay was born. Jim and his partner Linda later lived in Tottenham, Ontario for some years. After her passing in 2008, he returned to Queensville.  After retiring from his printing career he continued working part-time as a car jockey for Ford and Honda until he suffered a stroke in 2010.

He was a very active person, an accomplished guitar player, banjo picker, loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Fall was his favorite time of year. Many happy years were spent on the Gull River with family and friends. Jim will be missed.

Jim will be interred at Queensville cemetery beside Linda.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
