When a loved one dies, many families are now choosing to keep things simple and affordable. Barrie Cremation Centre can carry out these wishes with professionalism, dignity and the utmost care. We are an alternative to the traditional services with all the professional and personal care and honesty you expect. The difference is, we care about you and your family.
Working in the business for 47+ years, the owner of Barrie Cremation Centre has not only listened to what today's families desire, he has put it into effect; he has provided compassionate service to families along with a simple and affordable way to honour their loved one.
We will take the time to sit down with you and your family and try to ease your stress, as making decisions can be difficult when a death occurs. We will help with all aspects to make this difficult time a little easier for you and your family, from selecting a container, casket or urn to suggesting ways to celebrate your loved one’s life. We can also assist you with newspaper notices, register/guest books, memorial cards, thank you cards or any other details you may require. You may decide to have a service or celebration of life at your home, church, social club or even at your cottage. You may want the cremated remains present at this time, or you may not wish them to be there at all. The choice is up to you.
We will assist you in gathering the necessary documentation that is required to register a death as well as obtain a certificate for cremation or a burial permit, so a cremation or burial can take place. Our commitment is to help you with applying for the Canada Pension Plan Survivor Benefit, Old Age Security Benefit (if eligible), as well as providing Proof of Death Certificates for banking, insurance or other requirements to help you settle the estate.
